ATTENTION ALL DEED PREPARERS
The County Clerk’s Office will process all splits on tax bills
for those documents recorded on or before August 10, 2014.
All land record documents which include a split of the property
which are recorded after the above date will not be changed
until the 2015 property tax bills which are payable in 2016.
Documents for recording will be
accepted until 4:30 pm.
At 3:30 pm we stop recording and any
documents left will be recorded the next day in the order we

in the chain of title to County land. Your property and its
ownership is filed in the Recorder's Office. Today, revenue
taken in by this office is based on fees provided by the
Illinois State legislature in the Illinois Compiled Statutes and
is deposited in the County corporate fund.
