Be
Ready When the Time Comes
In
today's climate, it is more important than ever that all of us be
prepared for possible emergencies. Natural or other disasters can
strike at any time and anywhere. There are five actions you can take
that will make a difference.
Make
a Plan
Planning
ahead is the first step to a calmer and more assured disaster
response. Talk with your family about disasters that can happen
where you live. Plan an evacuation route and meeting place.
Build
a Disaster Supply Kit
What
you have on hand when a disaster strikes can make a big difference.
Store three days worth of essential supplies (like food and water)
for everyone in your home.
Get
Trained
Learning
simple First Aid, CPR and Disaster Response Techniques can give you
the skills and confidence to help anyone in your home, neighborhood
and workplace.
Volunteer
Our
communities need your help. There are so many needs and many ways
for you to serve.
Give
Blood
Blood
is needed in times of emergencies, but the ongoing need is also
great.
