Body Art Establishments
are licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Adams
County Health Department is contracted to inspect the body art
establishments as part of the licensing procedure. The inspections
focus on the general cleanliness of the facility, blood borne
pathogen training of artists, documentation of waste disposal, etc.
Applications for body art establishment licenses must be requested
from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
