Public
Health Nurses contact parents of each newborn of county residents to
offer a home visit. These visits usually occur when the infant is
approximately 2 to 4 weeks old.
Nurses
stress prevention messages with families. This includes information
on car seats, smoke detectors in the home, immunizations, importance
of well-baby and postpartum appointments with
their physician and hints on ways to nurture their baby.
There
is no charge for this service.
