MISSION STATEMENT

It is the mission of the Adams County Treasurer to conduct the duties of the office with professionalism, accountability and integrity.  The County Treasurer has promoted a spirit of cooperation with the County Board and strives to keep the County Board informed of the activities of the County Treasurer’s office. The County Treasurer and her staff are dedicated to serving the public in a cordial and efficient manner.  It is the mission of the County Treasurer to conduct all the duties of the office in the best interests of the taxpayers by providing superior public service while maintaining a conservative budget. 

PROFESSIONALISM

            The County Treasurer’s office is committed to professionalism when conducting the duties of the office.  A policy of professional individual excellence through the utilization of continuing education and training is encouraged.  The County Treasurer is actively involved in the Illinois County Treasurers Association and attends educational workshops and seminars to maintain the highest level of current information in conducting the duties as County Treasurer.  The County Treasurer is an educated and professionally trained administrator dedicated to responsible and proper management.

 

ACCOUNTABILITY

            The County Treasurer’s office is committed to accountability when conducting the duties of the office.  The County Treasurer is a full-time, hands-on administrator who takes an active role in managing the daily activities of the office.  The County Treasurer regularly attends County Board meetings and provides a monthly report to the Finance Committee informing them of the monthly activities of the office.  The County Treasurer is committed to responsible fiscal management.  The financial reports of the office are presented to the Finance Committee and to the County Board in a timely manner with a copy of the current monthly financial report being posted in a public area of the Courthouse.  

 
INTEGRITY

          The County Treasurer’s office is committed to integrity when conducting the duties of the office.  As the County Treasurer is the lawful custodian of County funds, the principles of honesty, morality and civic pride are of utmost importance.  The foundation of the County Treasurer’s office is to promote the highest level of integrity in the performance of the duties.
